Flipkart, Microsoft Announce Cloud Partnership In India
Flipkart leading e-commerce giant on Monday announced of partnership with Microsoft Corp. The partnership is based on to provide customers in India with best shopping service. As an initial step, Flipkart will be adopting Microsoft Azure as its public cloud computing platform.
The company will optimize its data for advertisements, marketing and customer service by using artificial intelligence and analytics capabilities in Azure such as Power BI and Cortana Intelligence.
The CEO of Microsoft, Satya Nadella said At Microsoft, we aim to empower every Indian and every Indian organization with technology and key to this is forging strategic partnerships with innovative companies like Flipkart, Combining Microsofts cloud platform and AI capabilities with Flipkarts existing services and data assets, will enable Flipkart to accelerate its digital transformation in e-commerce and deliver new customer experiences.
With having the 100-million customer over the last 10 year, Binny Bansal CEO and Co-Founder of Flipkart says We have to keep the next ten years in mind, and scale up to 500 million customers.” And Nadella said that AI and machine learning are keys to transforming a business and Bansal spoke on how it would work on Flipkart.

Flipkart was the pioneer in offering services like in-a- Day Guarantee (50 cities) and Same-Day- Guarantee (13 cities) at scale.
