Google’s HTC Made Nexus Marlin Will Come In 128GB Version
The year 2016 may turn out to be the year when phone makers ditched low storage devices. Even as rumours come in that the iPhone 7 this year will come with the 128GB version, there is a report that Google’s new Nexus phone, currently codenamed Marlin, may also come in the 128GB version.
The Marlin, which will be possibly made by HTC, is the bigger Nexus with 5.5 inch screen. The smaller Nexus, codenamed Sailfish, will have a 5-inch or 5.2-inch screen. Sailfish will also be made by HTC. The two phones are likely to launch in September or October.
The latest info about the Nexus Marlin comes through a leaked image of the phone. While the image doesn’t show the design of the device the phone is in a frame and image is tightly cropped it does show that Marlin is already running Android Nougat, which is not a surprise actually because the phone will be one of the two launch devices for the Android N. The same report also notes that the Marlin seen in the picture has 128GB internal storage.
The phone seem to be based on the HTC 10 design, which is different from the what we have seen so far from renders and mock ups created using the leaked information related to the upcoming Nexus devices.
It is said to have a fingerprint scanner on the back and the same camera sensor that users got in the Nexus 5X and the Nexus 6P, which is a good news because the image sensor in the current Nexus devices is the best ever put in a phone.
It is expected that the Nexus Marlin will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor, will have a 5.5 inch screen with 1440p resolution, at least 32GB internal storage, 12 megapixel rear camera, 8 megapixel front camera and 3GB to 4GB of RAM.
