Microsoft Plans Launch Parties All Over The World For Windows 10
Even as Microsoft gears up to make Windows 10 available across 190 countries starting July 29, the Redmond giant on Monday announced how it plans to celebrate the occasion along with fans and enthusiasts across the world.
For starters, Microsoft has planned launch parties in 13 cities around the world, including ‘Sydney, Tokyo, Singapore, Beijing, New Delhi, Dubai, Nairobi, Berlin, Johannesburg, Madrid, London, Sao Paolo, and New York City’ where Windows Insiders and fans can get hands-on and demos of the new operating system. They will also get the opportunity to meet the Windows team there.
Notably, 5 million Windows Insiders who have been actively involved in testing the various preview builds of Windows 10 to make Windows 10 what it is today will also receive the OS upgrade in the first phase of its roll out.
The company also announced that “the first wave of TV and digital ads for Windows 10 will start relaying beginning July 20th in the US and July 29th globally.
Microsoft also announced its new year-long initiative, called Upgrade Your World on Monday. Microsoft will partner with 10 global and 100 local non-profits to help them ‘upgrade the world’ under the initiative.
Microsoft recently announced availability details of its new OS confirming that not everybody will be getting the update on July 29. As mentioned earlier, Windows Insiders will be the first to get Windows 10. Microsoft will then be rolling out Windows 10 to systems that have reserved a copy for themselves, in waves.
