Vodafone Offers One Year Free Netflix Subscription
Vodafone has been trying to lure more customers to its network by offering a host of special benefits with its recharge packs. Vodafone initiated the trend of offering free subscriptions to video streaming services with its recharge packs and the operator is now trying to do the same in partnership with Samsung. Vodafone is offering a free subscription to Netflix for an entire year with the recently launched Samsung Galaxy S10 phones.
The new offer comes as a way to lure customers of the Galaxy S10 to switch to Vodafone’s network. Under the offer, Vodafone is giving an entire year’s subscription for free to those consumers who buy any of the new Galaxy S10 models Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10+ and Galaxy S10e. However, for availing the offer, customers will have to go for Vodafone’s RED postpaid subscription. Moreover, they will have to ensure that the RED plan should amount to at least Rs 499 per month.
In order to avail the offer, Vodafone customers will have to go make the payment via the My Vodafone app or the Vodafone website. The concerned SIM card needs to be in a Galaxy S10 device in order for the plan to get activated.
While Vodafone hasn’t given out the details about the Netflix plan that is bundled with this offer, the advertisement states the benefits are worth Rs 6,000. This means that Vodafone is most probably offering the Basic plan of Netflix under this offer.
The Basic plan in Netflix offer content streaming for a year in Standard Definition (SD) resolution. For HD and 4K streaming, there are the Standard and Premium plans that cost even more. Considering the Galaxy S10 and S10+ offer 1440p display and the Galaxy S10e offering full HD+ display, the beneficiaries of this plan won’t be able to take full advantage of the high-resolution display that these phones feature.
Nonetheless, Netflix subscriptions are expensive and if you don’t want to spend additional money on getting a Netflix subscription after purchasing the Galaxy S10, then the Vodafone RED postpaid plan is totally worth it.
The Galaxy S10 series is presently the latest flagship lineup from Samsung and offers the latest generation Exynos 9820 chipset. In India, the entry-level variant to the Galaxy S10 series is the Galaxy S10e that comes goes up against the Apple iPhone XR.
