Xiaomi Launches Redmi 3S+, No Online Sale, Only On Local Shops
Xiaomi on Saturday launched Redmi 3S+, its first ever offline exclusive smartphone for the Indian buyers. The phone is priced at Rs 9,499 and will be available across more than 7,500 retailers starting October 1. Xiaomi currently sells devices in India through major e-commerce stores and its website Mi.com.
The company said that the phone would be also available in stores run by large format retailers such as Poorvika, Sangeetha, BIG C, and LOT mobiles via distributors Redington, Innocomm and Just Buy Live.
The Redmi 3S+ comes equipped with 2GB RAM and 32GB storage coupled with the octa core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor and the Adreno 505 GPU. It sports a sleek metal body and packs in a 4100 mAh battery like the other Redmi 3S variants.
It also features a fingerprint sensor and is available in Gold, Silver and Grey variants. The phone has a 13-megapixel rear camera.
Earlier this week, Xiaomi launched two phones in China, Mi 5S and Mi 5S Plus. Both the phones have two RAM variants. Xiaomi has put a starting price of 1,999 Yuan (approx Rs 20,000) for Mi 5S and 2,299 Yuan (approx Rs 23,000) for the Mi 5S Plus base model.
The smaller phone, Mi 5S, has a 5.15-inch Full HD display with 1920 X 1080 pixel resolution. The Mi 5S comes in two memory variants: 3GB RAM and 64GB internal storage, 4GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.
The company on Friday also announced its biggest festive sale starting today. Xiaomi India has partnered with several known companies like Flipkart, Amazon, Snapdeal, Paytm and Tata Cliq for the sale and states that this will be the first Mi sale with heavy discounts on all Mi smartphones and accessories.
